BILL SHAPIRO AND JAMES & ROGER DEAKINS Q & A AT THE VIOLET CROWN

Collected Works Bookstore and Violet Crown hosted an author event and film screening at Violet Crown Gallery Space on Thursday, March 14, 2024. James and Roger A Deakins, author of ‘Byways’ were in conversation with Bill Shapiro, the former editor-in-chief of LIFE magazine and the founding editor of LIFE.com, who introduced the movie ‘No Country for Old Men’ and discussed the book ‘Byways’ (Damiani Books, 2021). This event preceded Obscura Gallery’s exhibition of the same name which opened on March 15, 2024 at 225 Delgado Street.

 

TWO GENERATIONS: PAUL CAPONIGRO AND JOHN PAUL CAPONIGRO

An online webinar with father and son photographic duo Paul Caponigro and John Paul Caponigro discussing the work in the Obscura Gallery exhibition Two Generations which includes over two dozen photographs highlighting the careers of this family of artists.
